With a little under a week left until Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL, and under the gun working on a HUGE project, I have been going crazy over here. The good part about this for you guys is that I will have a TON of artwork for you to check out very soon. (Or as soon as I am given clearance to show it). At the very least, I can share with you some of the original art and jewelry that we will have for the Celebration.

I should have posted this a while ago. I did this copic illustration for a Batman contest where I actually won. Well, I placed it on my wall and admired it. Now I’m going to take it to Superman Celebration and hope that it finds a great home. I am really proud of this piece and, if it doesn’t sell, I’m happy with placing it back on my wall in my office and smiling at it when I get down.
If you have been following me, you know that I used to do Star Wars sketch cards. I just got my last set of return cards and I’m happy to get the Darth Maul 6 card set! I’ll probably be taking this to the Celebration as well.

And now, a word from Janet, the OTHER Wade…
Hello, all! Janet here! I am very excited to return to Superman Celebration this year. In the past, I use to work on a vector pin-up or two to sell as special prints. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to do that recently. I felt really bad that I would have nothing to contribute for Superman Celebration. But then it struck me: what about jewelry? A few months ago I picked up jewelry making as yet another hobby, and I must say I’ve really enjoyed it. Girls like pretty things. FANgirls like pretty things, too. Fangirls shouldn’t have to settle for the occasional comic book tshirt. Why not make pretty things (jewelry!) for fangirls? And so, I am very happy to announce that at this year’s Celebration, my little handmade jewelry shop, Just Another Distraction, will have superheroine pendants, geek chic earrings, and fangirl bracelets. Take a peek ;D …
