Comic author aims for the silver screen

MEMPHIS, TN (WMC-TV) – You may see the visions of a Mid-South comic author one day on the big screen.

In his tiny studio in uptown Memphis, graphic artist Martheus Wade sketches out characters for his comic book series ‘Jetta: Tales of the Toshigawa.’

“The book is about a futuristic tale of this woman named Shianndrea Toshigawa, who is supposed to save the world from this impending army,” Wade said. Called Jetta for short, Wade’s character is a kick-butt, take-names kind of hero.
